I just loved working on this cd and made some samples which I adore and will be using again and again. Beautiful images of wild animals and pets.

Samples for My Craft Studio Parchment Delights Vol 2

These samples were for todays show on Create & Craft - Volume 2 of Parchment Delights has lovely soft, gentle subtle images and backgrounds which you can use for parching or just for regular cardmaking. I loved working with this cd and have to say that both parchment cds are amongst my favourites. Makes such beautiful cards.

Fab news - Runner up in Joanna Sheen's Forum Competition

I am amazed at being selected as runner up in Joanna Sheen's latest competition using the Country Diary of an Edwardian Lady cd rom. I chose the foxglove image as it is so delicate and feminine and is my most favourite image on the whole cd. To enlarge the image from the cd I selected the snapshot tool in Adobe and highlighted the largest image, then clicked to print but before printing tick the box marked 'fit image to page' in the printer selection box. This automatically enlarges the image to fit A4.
I played with many ideas to embellish the flowers, from mica paints, to spray glitter, but in the end decided it was too much for the image so just highlighted the flower centres with glitter glue and added a few tiny seed beeds for dimension.
I have to say it is not hard to make beautiful cards with such gorgeous images on this cd. I grew up with Country Diary and had bedding and stationery when it was so popular many years ago so I have really enjoyed working with this re-issue of an old favourite.
I have birthdays next week for Mum and Mum-in-law so will be working with the foxgloves again this week.

This card is made with a backing image from the Crafters Companion Cute Summer stories cd and also a Joanna Sheen Teddy. I think they go together quite well. The teddy is coloured in with my most fav pen of the moment Promarkers.

Here are just a few of the samples made for the Ideal World Pick of The Week which launched on Friday 25th September 2009. A lovely edition of the My Craft Studio range which features lots of florals and grown up fairies. Had a lot of fun with this one.

Samples for Pick of the Day - Ideal World 16.9.09

I was lucky to be invited to make samples for the latest edition of My Craft Studio - Secret Hideaways which launched on Wednesday 16th September 2009. The theme of these two cds is cute, from cartoon characters to photographic images to pencil drawings it really is a gorgeous resource to work with. I did loads more samples than those pictured here as I got carried away having fun crafting. I also prepped the magic slider cards that Nancy worked on, of the frog and the teddies, so it was great to see those come to life. I redesigned the whole concept to make it tv presenter proof following on from the last ones I made of Santa and I am pleased to see it did work much better this time on live tv.

We were away on our narrowboat for the week but I did manage to catch one or two of the shows on our laptop so that was good.

I start work tomorrow on the next assignment so watch this space.
