Another Pick of the Day on Ideal World. I was asked a few weeks ago to submit a few designs for the booklet which is a new feature to go with the cd's. As with all things not all the cards are used but I think two of them are in the book and the 'Thanks' card has been shown on the show at launch last night.

Birthday Card for my mum-in-law
Today is my mum-in-law's birthday and this is the card made for her special day. I used a gorgeous image of yellow Roses from the Joanna Sheen Thomas Kinkade cd and over the front I attached a pair of acetate doors covered with trellis cut with a Martha Stewart punch and embellished with butterflies.
Inside is a matching yellow rose insert taken from the cd.

Apologies for being in catch-up mode
Life has been somewhat hectic recently with a great deal of work to make stock for my farmers market stall - which has been going so well I am drafting in a friend to help with extra cards to take some of the pressure off me.
My work for Art & Crafts - the company owned by Stephanie Weightman of Create and Craft has been extremely busy too. The artwork keeps coming and I keep loving the challenges it brings so long may that continue.
So I apologise for lumping all my recent samples onto this blog in one day but I hope you like the
large and growing archive of My Craft Studio projects.
Mental note to oneself to upload photos on the day of launch in the future.

Fundraising in Cornwall
I have just spent a lovely weekend in Cornwall as a guest of the Redruth Model Flying Club. This last weekend was their annual show and my hubby is a model flyer so we camped on site for the event. We arrived with our caravan on Friday morning and it drizzled most of the day. However for Saturday and Sunday the sun shone and it was warm and dry so we were so lucky.
I organised a small craft tent with the help of my friend Mary (another pilot's wife) - between us we raised £150 which I donated to the Cornwall Air Ambulance. We had a great deal of fun and spent the time making and selling cards and crafting with a few kids who wanted to make their own cards too.
By Monday the weather was back to drizzle again so we headed home after a fantastic weekend.
