Fundraising in Cornwall

I have just spent a lovely weekend in Cornwall as a guest of the Redruth Model Flying Club. This last weekend was their annual show and my hubby is a model flyer so we camped on site for the event. We arrived with our caravan on Friday morning and it drizzled most of the day. However for Saturday and Sunday the sun shone and it was warm and dry so we were so lucky.

I organised a small craft tent with the help of my friend Mary (another pilot's wife) - between us we raised £150 which I donated to the Cornwall Air Ambulance. We had a great deal of fun and spent the time making and selling cards and crafting with a few kids who wanted to make their own cards too.

By Monday the weather was back to drizzle again so we headed home after a fantastic weekend.

Cards for Twins

I was asked to make two cards for twins - they had to be very girly cards.

They also had to have pictures of their pets on the front - one has a Chihuahua and the other Guinea Pigs.

Really enjoyed making these and I hope the girls will be pleased with them.

Great 100th Birthday Card

I was asked to make a 100th Birthday card for a friend of a friend and this lady is quite a character.

She goes to the bookies every single day and places a bet, she rides an exercise bike every day to keep fit and drinks whisky like it is going out of fashion.

That was the brief so after some thought and a few pointers from my Sheenie friends on the Joanna Sheen Forum I came up with this design.
